Who has tried both? Tell me why one is better. I know the brakes are bigger but what about the suspension.
Thanks

The difference between my '81 and '86.5 are night and day. While for a looong trip I would use the '81 (very comfortable) for spirited driving the '86.5 is hands down better as far as braking turn and grip (the added hp is also a plus) The suspension is noticeably stiffer.

Fabio - I converted my 'S' front suspension and brakes to 'S4' (upper/lower control arms, spindles, brakes). I did not notice any dramatic changes in the way the front end handled (the brakes were much better though). The S4 spindles are 'beefier' than the S flavor spindles. The S4 lower ball joint is a compression type load as oposed to a tension type load for the S lower ball joint. To me the S4 is a much sturdier and safer setup. If you are going to track or autocross your car I recomend the S4 hardware. Good Luck!
