Hello,
I've bought a set of Clubsport wheels for my 928. According to the PO they came off a 928 S4. The wheels have been painted and the original anodised finish underneath is damaged. The wheels are not the typical 928 Clubsport/GT size 8x16 fronts and 9x16 rears but 7x16 ET 65 and 8x16 ET 52,3 (original S4 width and offset) They are definately a different forging from normal S4 dish wheels. The part numbers, as far as still visible, are for the 8x16 ET 52,3 rears 928 362 117 ?? and for the 7x16 ET 65 frontwheels 928 362 115 ??. One of the fronts has been replaced at some stage with a 944 Turbo wheel (951 362 115 30). The last two digits of most of the wheel have been lost due to painting as they were not "cast-in" but etched or painted on. If the wheels were of a 944 Turbo S there should have been 9x16 rears.
What have I got? Does anyone know on what type of 928 they were originally fitted. Were they available as a factory option?
Thank you for your help,
Richard
