Default 5 sp GTS for sale

It is time to sell our GTS test platform. I have been intending to do the exterior refresh myself, but just don't have the time. And I am tired of it just sitting.

Our intention is to "engine" it to a customers spec or just install a bone stock GTS engine.

The ugly - paint, did I say paint, yes the paint....would make quite a project for those so inclined and a front right fender ding. Have factory new fender to replace although it is easily fixed. No dings..

The bad - Drivers seat is worn, interior has, well 160K on it, small crack in the dash and in the pod. Trans is typically a bit notchy when cold..

The good - most everything has been replaced...wheel bearings, half shafts, front upper a arms, TT rebuild, steering rack, main AC lines, oil lines, oil cooler, radiator, fans, etc in the last 30 or so K miles. Has DEVEK Koni 600/400 Suspension Kit and harness hooks. BTW, all leather interior.

Needs - a good home! And the unknown...been sitting for about 3 years with intermittent running using engines ranging from 330 rwhp stock GTS rebuilds to close to 400 rwhp high performance GTS engines.

Color - Zermatt Silver
Int - Matador Red - custom ordered

Currently, the 928 has no engine.....GTS engine will be installed TBD

Price $19K with a good used GTS engine. The one I intend to install has less than 60K miles. I can do a fresh engine price TBD.

PM me only.

Someone will ask, might as well make it the 2nd post.

Will you sell without an engine, if so, how much?

Sounds like the perfect donor car for a GTS widebody. If I only had $19K.

$19k = 14k euros. Haven't seen that cheap manual GTS for few years in any kind of condition in Europe. Without engine its probably almost as cheap as my car was with dead engine. Not to mention I would have everything except few seals for stock GTS engine build. Luckily its enough far away for not to be too tempting.

great project. Again you can paint it whatever color you like, you can have a cobalt GTS, NICE. Cobalt with Matador red, now that would be something!

The Matador is a very red red right, its not a pinkish or purpleish red is it?

It would be nice to buy this car as a base for a full custom 928.

It already has the wide body without side moldings, which is the best starting point you can think of. Have it painted in any way you want, and let Paul Champagne do a full custom interior for you. Then you can get it with any engine you desire, bult by an expert in that field. How about a nice stroker, optimized for torque? It could be the perfect Grand Tourismo...

Swwwwwwwwwweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!!!!!

General questions asked privately will be posted for all.

"Yes, the chassis is straight, almost perfect"

"Correct, includes new fender to replace dinged fender"

"PSD works fine but suggest fluid change very year"

Cheers,
Marc

Anyway you look at it...price seems in line for it's condition...as long as the replacement motor is one without the older style rods..or a heavy oil consumption motor...then it's a good GTS for restoration or just a daily driver...

I seem to remember some other GTS in the same price range...but were automatics...or in much worse shape overall...

good luck with the sale..

Tom
