ANYWAY....
Im sure i speak for all that were there..... a HUGE thanks to Dave and Jeanie for hosting this event once again and letting us into there house for the evening on Saturday night. Thanks Guys, very cool.
A big thanks to all that showed up, it was great to see many of you again and even better to meet a few more new faces that went beyond the relm of a keyboard. Those that dint make it, you were missed, but im sure were alot warmer and sober at home
!
Finally, thanks to Ben "Your tag isnt current" Underwood for picking me up in Atlanta and taking me to and from the event, as well as letting me get some 5spd stick time in his beautiful (but now wet ) GT. I caught the flight with 25 miuntes to spare and made it home for dinner in Vegas at 6pm, thanks Ben.

Well, as can be seen above, the weather wasn't as cooperative as it could have been, but those of you who weren't at SITM missed what was definitely a good time anyway. Lots and lots of great cars and great people in attendance. I want to give a great big thanks to David and Jeannie for hosting and arranging the event again. I can't help but feel that Wally had some part in it too, and I'd like to thank him as well.
Now, how the heck does a group of 928s get pulled over and get kicked off the Blueridge Parkway anyway... before the event even starts? And who actually thought that bike race seemed like a good idea?

Tony,
I have now added you to the list with Graham of people to get back for taking and posting candid pictures of me doing stoooopid things.
Too bad my Flash Path diskette isn't working or I'd have a couple of good pictures to post. Sorry guys, you dont get the picture of Jeannie in the Teri Knebel provided TALAMB outfit. I promised. Those that were there will just have to recall the best view in North Carolina from memory. I do have another good one of Mark Anderson, Jeannie and DR suitable for posting that should satisfy all the Jeannie fan club members.
I had a great time. Thanks to Dr. Mohr for taking the bullet while the other 5 of us got the 65 in a 45 warning ticket's. Of course, we were all then asked nicely to get the he!! off the BRP. Great party, great people, good food who cared about the weather. It just made the twisties that much more challenging.

It's a short list. You and Graham. I'm sure I'll do something stooopid at the next gathering that someone will get on film/chip/etc. and I'll have to add them also. Perhaps the "Wingman" was in on it with you to get me back for all the "Wingman" comments? ;-)
Good to see you again as well. See you at Euro 2003?

Where do i send my 1/6 of Scotts ticket?
BTW - Glenn Mannuci and I took the BRP home yesterday from a point just above I-77 all the way to Skyline drive. Not one ranger in site. We stopped at the infamous Pines of Otter lodge for the Sunday Buffet.
We behaved.

Three Wheelin'
![Post](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/icons/icon1.gif)
On the way down on the BRP, we came across a Harley rider, lying in the road with the bike on him. We stopped to help. The rider mentioned that he had fallen off one mile earlier when he got in the grass. He fell off again where we found him. He was travelling uphill in a slight turn when his front wheel bounced and he ate pavement. See gouge marks in pavement on the pic below. We pushed the bike down the hill to where it is in the pic. Three words of advice for this guy- "get a car"
The pic is me making use of my extensive road tool collection to remove his fender and get the bike ride-able so he could go to a nearby craft shop where the owner was a biker. Thanks to Greg Nichols who stopped and controlled traffic. We had to repair the bike on the road, as the soft grass shoulder was sloped and the bike would have just sunk-in and fallen over the hill.

Geeze Greg, sounds like you were the designated good samaritan last weekend.
I think you'll be OK if you skip church this Sunday.
