Well as I have mentioned, I finally got my car on the road after years of work on the rebuilding the front end. I put Yoko AVS Sport 225-50-16's all around that were hand me downs. I have put less then 100 miles on this car in the last 3 years. The shop called and said that the car was done but needed new front tires. I laughed and said yea right. And they said no really your insides are bald. And sure enough they are. I hope that I can move them to the back and do some bargin hunting. I would like to put the same Yoko AVS Sport back on. Does anyone know of a good deal on them? I just need two for now. Tire-rack has thenm for 122.00 each. If anyone sees a better deal please let me know. Some years ago i was in need of a set of tires at a reasonable price. i discovered that at some tire outlets, like National Tire and Battery, you can get pre owned tires at a good discount. They are referred to as "mangers specials" and are usually returns from customers who did not like the feel or maybe increased road noise. The only problem is that you have to phone each shop individually to ask about what they have on hand. The shops do not post their manager specials on a central database. Good luck.
