scary, very scary
Well with winter comming and a little time on my hands I thought hey let pull the int. of my shark, fix the bad wires and get her ready to be painted.
Pulled the dash, door panels and seats. not to hard a job. Found 3 burnt wires. Starting in the driver door and going all the way over to the fues box. Still need to cut open the harness to see what else they burned to. At the fuse box I found crushed wires some so bad that they were cut. Wrong relays wrong fueses cruise control modual unpluged alarm unpluged.
What did I get myself into????
I work on car wireing for a living and this even scares me!!
I am just plain shocked this poor car even ran.
The jettronic brain has 928INT. in white writing on it and a sticker that say something like tested ok 2/07/00. Sigh!! Is this unit the same for US and Euros? My 84 euro uses LH the Us at the time didnt. Shrug more resurch to do I guess. Going to be a long winter!!!
Sorry just a little venting, I feel better now.

That kind of wiring situation seems to be way too common on 928s as far as I've seen. I don't know if you're planning to take the fuse box out completely, but if you do, you might find the back of it kind of interesting. Don't think that you've gone color blind when you look at the wiring on the back of it. Special sale on gray wire somewhere in Germany maybe?

HAHAHA I did pull the fues box Mike and to mine and a few others suprise there are 3 red wires in with all the gray. These doo look factory as they are woven in with the grey wires so well i had to use a ohm meter to test each end point. Grin!!
