taking door panel off, what else to check?

That felt window guide is definitely the one I need, I'm not sure about the roller, but JB or Tom at 928 intl would be able to tell you.

Sorry I couldn't help more, I haven't gotten there yet.

Thanks for all the tips, everyone! I'll talk to the guys @ 928intl.com and see what else I might need.

Now how I'm going to fix this stuff while the car stereo guys are installing the speakers, well, I haven't figured that out yet. Maybe I should do the install myself? If I do, it'll be the first time I've run speaker wire in a car in about 10 years...

Art, et al,

with respect to the door restrainers that hold the door open. I've found they really aren't worn out usually - just have a bunch of hardened old grease in the "valleys" that the piece that attaches to the door runs over. IF you just remove the old door retainers, clean out that "crud" thoroughly, then put a small amount of grease (I use only Super Lube grease on these), then re-install, they essentially work 95% as good as a set of new retainers at ~$35 apiece. 15 minutes of work to save $35 - works for me!!!!
