If there are no caveats to the ownership question (i.e. cost, maintenance, practicality), for a pure, raw, head-turning sports car, I'm gonna have to be a heretic and go with the '89 Lambo Countach(e).

Randy Drop the e on Countach..Having driven one and discovered that it was not designed for anyone over 5' 7" and 150 lbs I wrote this great car off my Toy list.
I also own a 72 246 GT (Dino)
Ferrari are fine cars of a completely different nature. Each has it's
own place as a icon. The Ferraris are great toys but the Porsches are far more usable
,styling and panache aside.

If own it, I wanna drive it...every damn day of the week!
If i had my druthers and the cash I own a Ferrari 550 Maranello. BUT! Can I drive it the hell of it every day of the week? Not likley, unless I had the kind of cash necessary to do the very frequent dealer required maintenance and not **** Ferrari off by putting 30,0000 miles a year on their, pardon me, MY car
Porsche, on the other hand, every damn day of the week and that baby drives as good as it did the hour before I parked it and the mean time between repairs and maintenance- not a issue. Porsche does not give me a hard time for driving my car across country either (my chiropractor may have some concerns).
Take it out and drive it hard again!!! YEEEESSSS!

Pat,
928 vote going in asap.
BUT...........
If the ugly truth were to be told...
62'Chryler New Yorker, 413ci,push-button auto, bubble dash with flourescent orange needles, all power, galvanized sheet metal with a capital 'G'. Never found the top end,
many were my victims on the 40 mile, country road, round robbins. With the exception of the Pennsylvania State Police 440 Chryslers
late 60's early 70's was untouchable from 75mph on up....on the superslab.
Made for lovin' interior and a mildly sloping trunk deck with no obstructions for some serious jammin' with suitable lover of the week. Ugly as a mud fence,15mpg city,22-24mpg highway. No EPA controls.
Sleeper! I miss her!
