The motor continues to run after the the sunroof is completely open. I have to click the switch to get it to stop.
Relay? It is a brand new motor.
Thoughts?

If clicking the switch stops it, then the switch may be the problem. I think I read somewhere that the console warps slightly and makes the edges of the buttons stick. You can probably open up the switches and clean them out, maybe file the edges a little and it will be fine.

Thermal protection on the motor turns it off. You hear it clicking in the door as it retries after cooling off.
But back on topic.. the switches themselves can warp just enough to catch. A friend of mine had the same issue, took the switch out, gave it a good cleaning, trimmed it down with an exacto knife and it's as good as new.

Another part of cleaning is the internal cleaning of the contacts and rocker mechanism (pivot point). I've never had one of these apart, but from reading up and working on other switches, I would imagine that there are several ways for them to fail, and cleaning will fix almost all of them.

If they do then that's good. I just remember reding an article about a 60's Camaro that had a sticking convertible roof motor 9stayed on wafter the foor vas retrected) and caused it to catch on fire, burnign the back half of the car.
