Default Saginaw, MI car show - 6 928's!

The Detroit crew had a great time driving up to Saginaw, Michigan for their first ever old town motor fest. There were about 100~150 cars with hardware from 1800's to 2007 with vettes, mustangs, rat rods, hot rods, and of course some Porsche 928s.

Let's see, we had (left to right) Dennis, Stan, DaveK, Andrew, Robert, and Me (Andrew).

The venue was Jake's in Old Town Saginaw where the owner, Paul B. who owns a 928, and his fiance were gracious enough to post our registration fee and provide a few suds! Thanks again Paul! See you in Hell!

Sadly, none of the 928's won any awards. I hear that a Karman Ghia and a 86 Fiat beat us out.

Other than that, there isn't too much to report. Here are some shots of the hardware. Enjoy!

Here's one for you TS SCer guys trying to figure out a way to get cold air in. Looks like this si a stock corvette part. Should be relatively cheap.

See you all in HELL!

The blue S belongs to Rennlister DaveK9, and it's an '85. He says it's iris blue metallic. Hopefully he'll respond here and throw up some pics of his car...it's gorgeous! And he's got an engine bay that is clean and detailed enough to eat outta! Give us some pics, Dave!

Andrew ! I did'nt see your post earlier, so I sent a thankyou on my own post. Pam and I really enjoyed having the crew up. BTW nobody voted for any sharks because you guys didnt fill out the vote forms I gave you with your registration certificates! Of course, I did not know this either. I guess, being a GM town, there's not a lot of "furrin-type" car fans up here. However, If there had been a fire on that street, the area would have been declared a toxic waste dump because of all the melted fiberglass from the corvette contingent! Thanks again. Paul barrera

Thanks Chadd (yes your correct the door sticker says "iris blue metallic") I purchased and drove the car back from Texas 10 yrs ago, it had ~60k then and 120k now, thanks again (I only see the flaws)

Hi all, thanks again Paul and Pam for the hospitality, it was a fun cruise there and a well planned event, we all enjoyed the great food too, Andrew you missed out on some great cheese cake later that night!
I thought the mayor said around 100k people came through the event that day.

Our group of V8 powered P cars were getting a lot of attention and photos taken. You don’t see that many 928’s… let alone six of em at the same time!

Well, some from my camera, enjoy

Looks like a fun time!
I know that part of Saginaw very well. Used to live a few blocks away.
Good 'ole Hamilton Street. I had some crazy nights down there in my late teens and early 20's. Skateboarding under the bridge down the hill by Ewald's... The fall and summer Pub crawls... Picking up a stripper from the Hamilton Street pub... Getting bounced from same pub on a seperate occasion. Good times....

Hi Jim. I'm Paul from Saginaw. Somethings never change: Ewalds is still there, but just hanging by a thread and The hamilton Street Pub (we call it the "pube") still caters to the raging hormonal crowd who just wants to go get f'd up! Since you're now a 928 owner now, I presume that you no longer drive fast, drink, look at strippers and skateboard. Right? If you ever come back to the big city of "Sagnasty", look me up on the corner of Hamilton & Court!
