Before anyone chimes in with "yeah, that idiot screwed up his shark royally" or "I pray for the poor bastard that got his car," be warned that I am that not-so-poor bastard. Actually, I'm probably a lucky bastard in that I've had my car for 10 months and had only one major repair I didn't bargain for. However, I am trying to track down a lot of little things that were done to this car while in his posession (suspicious hole in the records) like a so-called "performance" camshafts. I know its a long shot that anyone here might be able to help me with this, but I figured this group has a long reach, and any info or vague memories would be appreciated.

Whoa....
BTDT with the 'perfomance camshafts'. I don't know what you've got - but my car came with the same item. I swapped back to the factory cams for actually much better performance.

That's interesting, because I was looking at the Devek website where it described their 'performance' cams and, from what I understand, they would need a whole lot of other upgrades to get the full performance benefits. I'm also hoping that without those other upgrades the 'performance' camshafts won't wear out my engine faster.
