What will it take for me to get you into this firewall today Adam? I talked it over with the manager and I can't believe he's letting me do this, he must be feeling charitable, but he said I could let you have it for $3500 plus packaging, shipping, sales tax, delivery fee, college grad surcharge, gas guzzler surcharge, EPA fees, if you'll cover the disposal fee on your current Porsche. He must really like you.

I'm not sure if this is true for the later body styles?..Can anyone verify?...I do remember that being true on the OB's...(thats 78/79 CIS cars)...

Some rear seat area part numbers are different between 3sp automatic and same year 5sp cars. This would indicate that early years body was different in this area. Since '83 US and '84 ROW model with 4sp automatic bodies must be same in this regard as same console between rear seats could be used with both transmissions. This could mean its easier to install 4sp automatic into 3sp automatic body than into same year 5sp body.
I think '87+ MY automatic bodies are again different in clutch main cylinder area as its mounting point was left out.

Offer the guy free oil change for life and get him to sign the docs. Also get rid of that stupid $495 detailing fee.

I think the S4 and later cars have the same rear transmission hump. My GT has an obvious bulge for a torque converter but of course dosent have one. It does however make access to things around the transaxle easier, at least towards the front of it. Although I would prever more interior space at the expense of more unnecessary clearance for the transaxle.
