928 Rod bearing myth
Myth: it is possible to install a 928 rod bearing "wrong" and have it hit the crank radius.
Fact: it is not possible to install a 928 rod bearing , assuming you put the tang in the slot, and have it hit the crank radius due to the geometry of the rod big end and the rod centerline. The rod has "additional" material to run against the crank, thus requiring no bevel on the bearings or marking them with an "upper" or "lower" as is the case with "chevys" and the like. It really is an idiot proof" install.
