Default *** Detroit Area Beer Night Thursday*** (07-12-07) & SIH Shopping List Volunteers

Hey there! It's that time of the month when all the Detroit area 928ers (and the occasional other car owner) get together for our monthly beer/bitch/tech session... okay mostly beer/bitch.

Location is the same as always @ the Four Green Fields Pub in the strip mall on the SW corner of 13 Mile & Woodward (right next to the Secretary of State's office) in Royal Oak, MI.

Things usually start around 6:30ish and go until whenever.

This month we'll be discussing final logistics for the car show up in Saginaw, MI on July 22 hosted by Paul B. We will also discuss the Sharks In Hell event which will be held in Hell, MI on August 4th hosted by Mark H. I should have T-shirts for this weeks meeting for those who are going to SIH. Finally, we have all the food slots filled up. If you did not make it on the list and still want to bring something, please feel free to bring it. I'm sure additional liquid refreshments are welcome as are side dishes, etc.

Fresh Fruit - Robert VanDyke
Corn - Dave K.
Desert Dish - Dan Jurek
Desert Dish - Stan Band
80 Buns (~40 of each) – Robert Budd
Condiments (ketchup, mustard, relish, cheese slices, onions, etc.) – Brian Rhudy
Plates, Napkins, Cups, Forks, Spoons, plastic table cloths) – Rod Kubis
Chips & Dip - Ben Salvador
Side Dish - BigMac & Liz
Side Dish - Bill Coleman (3 variaties of potato salad)
Side Dish - Matt Bechtold
Pop & Ice (in cooler) - Dennis Szeremet
Pop & Ice (in cooler) - Chaad Thomas
Desert Dish - Big Dave (Brownies and Cookies)

Remember we have these gettogethers on the second Thursday of every month, no matter the weather, so come on by. We also have an alternative beer nigh on the last Monday of the month at the Shark Club in Canton.

Probably, but as usual (it seems) I probably can't make it, but maybe we can hang out at my pad again - or maybe I'll get a babysitter.

Dave-

I think Ben beat you to the Chips and Dip (via email) Do you think you can bring a desert or some fresh fruit? Or corn?

If we allowed that, he might actually bring the corn from last year!

Since Stan is perpetually internet-impaired, he'll be stuck supplying whatever is left when we meet on Thursday.

How's that pool coming?

Living down here in corn country, I could bring corn if still needed. Otherwise, I could bring a dessert or some nice mellons. My big questions is should I bring my wife? She's not much for fruit, but she loves the sweets.

Showing up with nice mellons but w/o your wife might get you in trouble.
