Problems with bulkhead / firewall
Hello list
The build of the Nurburgring 24h car is going OK but as usual with the 928, unexpected problems crop up here and there. This time is the installation of a battery cut off switch and a 4ltr plumbed in fire extinguisher with the associated pull cables. I have found a place to install the fire extinguisher - where the rear storage compartment used to be - and the 4 nozzles - two in the cockpit and two in the engine bay.
My problem currently is routing the pipe from the cockpit through the firewall to the engine bay. Also, I decided to install the two pull cables on the scuttle panel covering the windscreen wiper motor / linkage. Drilling the holes was easy, but again I am stumped with regards to how to route the cables through the firewall and into the cockpit. Are there any obvious holes, just plugged in with rubber grommets, like on my VW Golf, or I need to drill new ones - something that I would rather avoid.
Many thanks in advance,
Alex
