Once approved it gets all tracking information and is piled up waiting on UPS/FEDEX pickup that afternoon. All the paperwork is done on the computer which when you have over 45,000 customer contacts in the data base is a MUST. Because we inventory so many parts we ship most orders same day.
I wasn't referring to what you "can" do, but the fact that you actually "do" it.

After fixing the trans cooler you should remove the lower bell housing and check the flex plate, if it is bowed towards the engine chances are good that this motor is going to seize, since it has already given the indication of stalling while hot, Although, not much has been said about what happens when trying to restart the engine while its hot, if it turns over very slow then you will have more info to work from. Dont drive the car untill checking the endplay/flex plate on the rear of the crankshaft

We looked at the car this morning. John tested end play and it sounds over spec tome but we'll see. The answer is, this is a case of thrust bearing failure.

However:

This must be the best scenario one can imagine. There are very fine shavings in the oil. But practically nothing in the filter. So, I think the engine may have been saved. The clamp/flexplate moved a VERY large distance. I did not measure it, I just saw the aftermath. Either way I think the bullet was just dodged, and John will open her up in the next few weeks and I hope report back.
