WOW.....the Super Sharks are kicking some serious butt lately...one thing I noticed....is 511 whp in the automatic & 540 in the 5 speed both work out to 635-638 crank HP.....so it seems about right..BUT you weren't pulling to redline (looks like 5900) in the GT either due to the fuel problems....so there has to be maybe 40+hp on the table if you pull to say 6500....or 6800 if you really wanna push it......you might be able to make 600whp if you run race gas!!

Great work!!...Also what exhaust mods do you have on the car?

Pretty sure this car can make 600 rwhp without race gas.
If you use the DynoJet correction factor it is only 6 rwhp away from that now.
I think you are close with the 40 hp number just sitting there waiting for some more fuel.

Excellent work Tim!!!! Is there a video of the dyno run? Specifically from the front of the car....I gotta hear this thing SCREAM.....also are you using the "race" series vortech or the quieter "street" series vortechs for the kit?

4. When you put in the 42# injectors, did you have new chip to go with it, or were you able to run okay on your existing chip?

I probably have more q's for you, but I need to let them percolate a bit more.
Hey Andrew

1: Motorsports in Utah made me a kevlar unit with a little heavier pressure plate

2: If you have to ask.........3rd and 4th go by hard!

3: Stock fuel pressure

4: I had a set of chips from Tim's S4 automatic for the 42#'s

Thanks Brian.

Stock headers, motorsports x pipe with cats, stock GT rear section with a RMB.

We just ran out of fuel on the top end, the pressure was dropping above 6000 rpm. It just could not flow enough fuel on the dyno to suport that amount of power. Bosch 044 pump is ordered and on the way now. There is definitely some left on the table, but no race gas. 93 octane is good enough. We are going to fine tune a bit more after the fuel pump goes in, then I'll hit a local dynojet.

Crikey! Murf, a trip to GB in September to torch my 87 up sound about right? We can talk about it more in Hell!

Anyways, great job Murf and Z!

Jim, I'm glad you decided to keep your car (I was a guy that almost bought it.)

boost baby, boost!!

look at the mustang crowed, their pushing 6,7 hunder horsies, Im sure we can do that and a little bit more, after all we have a better build engine with a tad bit more compression as far as the older 5.0 are concerned. Way to go Tim !!!

Too Cool!

Imagine if Murph had listened to the "common wisdom" not too long ago that the 928 motor couldn't take boost in stock configuration.

What a great achievement, really. A great day for the 928 community.

Really awesome guys. Great work. That dyno is the same type I have. It'll be interesting to see how the numbers compare to a DJ.

Thumbs up

Tim, Z and the gang excellent work as usual, good product goes with good result.
Pretty soon I will bring the supercharged GTS of Mr TS and see where we can go with it.
Now I need to convince Mrs A and install the SC into our 91GT...........
Good work.

Jim

Are you running a 3" pulley or a 3.5" for the 11- 12 psi

And the only mod was a bigger inlet box onto the SC and bigger tubing and filter

They are shocking figures, i was looking at the ferrari 599 figures after i read this post and the enzo ones, a GT with a murf stage 3 is an awsome mean machine.

Great work guys

Stuart,

The pulley is 3.33", 42# injectors, bigger airbox/filter, and a lot of sharktuning. The final chips will be done after I get the bigger fuel pump and send data log files to Tim to tweak the A/F up top. We had to back off early due to dropping fuel pressure....we found the limits of the stock fuel pumps.

Loosen and remove the bolt, and it pulls right off. If the bolt was loctited on, you may need an impact gun.
