RE-Torquing Heads, How?
While my valve covers are off, I would like to retorque the heads. I know that in the past a head gasket was blown (PO paid 6 grand to have it fixed!!!!) It would be good to check everything.
Owners manual doesn't say how to retorque and it doesn't give a correct torque, only a correct displacement (angular) of the bolt.
any suggestions?

Do not retorque the heads....
1the heads are torqued via a bolt stretch method that uses the initial crush of the gasket to identify the starting point
2even if you "could retorque", you cant do it withour removing the cams
short answer....do not do it!
