82 & complete Weissach interior.
The two tone interior was only available on the Weissach.
Trust me that's/that was a Weissach.

Ernest,
All had the plaque from the factory but it is removable as we have seen in many cases.
The interior is the givaway.

Roger other than the luggage which is pretty cool there is little "special" about a Weissach other than saying Weissach sounds exotic to none German speakers if Porsche had called it the Chicago it does not have the same effect . Anytime a car maker tries to make a special collectible car simply by adding trim items that leaves me a bit cold... truely exceptional cars earn it based on performance or true limited production ... not what color it is painted or interior trim. Nothing wrong with being a Weissach but nothing extra special either in my opinion... But I think ALL 928s are special ! And if it makes you smile that is all that matters.

Jim,
Each to there own. I just have a soft spot for the "special editions" as I have one of each in my collection.
To me power is a seconday consideration - beauty is first - the power is a given as it is a Porsche after all.
Some of us happen to like the Weissach and Jubilee cars.

Looks like they did the car a favour Roger that paint job looks really excellent from the pics. The interior looks like it could use a lot of refreshing. I love the colour! I hear your cry though as the Weissachs are so rare...

Oh c'mon Jim, the Weissach (like Martini) is the Porsche equivalent of adding "SV" behind "Miura" or "Oettinger" behind 2.3, or "Dinan" behind 333i, or "AMG" behind "190 2.3-16"

Badgeeees.
Veee don't need no stinkin' Badgeeeees.
I like my 928 AMG M SV Nismo SVO Eddie Bauer edition.
What's a Jubileee edition?
That Weissach could seriously use some Rob Budd or Champagne care package.
82, that would have the 3-speed that I've heard can be quite stokin' fast.

As the faster S model was not available in the USA and Canada during the first three years of its existence, a "Competition Package" option was created to allow North American customers to have an S model lookalike with spoilers, 16" flat disc wheels, sport seats, sport springs and Bilstein shocks. Customers could specify paint and interior colors the same way as on a normal 928. The package was available in the 1981 and 1982 model years and was cancelled in 1983 when the S model became available for these markets. Many cars have had S features added by subsequent owners, making original "Competition Package" cars difficult to distinguish without checking option codes.
In 1982, two special models were available for different markets. 205 "Weissach Edition" cars were sold in North America. Unusual features were champagne gold metallic paint, matching brushed gold flat disc wheels, two-tone leather interior, a plaque containing the production number on the dash and the extremely collectible three-piece Porsche luggage set. It's believed these cars were not made with S spoilers even though these were available in USA during this time period as part of the "Competition Package." The "Weissach Edition" option was also available for the US market 911 in 1980 and 924 in 1981 model years.
140 special "50th Jubilee" 928 S models were available outside the USA and Canada to celebrate the company's 50 year existence as a car manufacturer. This model is also sometimes referred to as the "Ferry Porsche Edition" because his signature was embroidered into the front seats. It was painted meteor metallic and fitted with flat disc wheels, wine red leather and special striped fabric seat centers. Similar 911 and 924 specials were also made for ROW markets.

My problem is when a company deliberately tries to make a special addition ...that becomes marketing sizzle not steak It is special because they said it was special ? But the Corvette collectors get all excited if they have a black 1965 4spd with A/c and blue interior or some such thing since it was 1 of 94 with that combination I guess I am just not much of a collector for me the joy is DRIVING , I need a track fix ! It is nice that others enjoy preserving and restoring for how it looks I just prefer what the tool does , the function over the form ! You with your collection clearly enjoy BOTH .

JB,
You clearly haven't driven with the brothers from the DFW chapter.
Last heard they were blowing by troopers at near triple digits on the way to SITM. Allegedly.
Guess I'm on the rare side of the steak equation since I've got stick shift with LSD.
Particularly like the rear air delete.
Got side moldings and no sport seats tho.
Went to one of those Brazillian Steak houses that serve all you can eat meat dinners but I wasn't hungry enough to enjoy it. Them Filet Mignon medallions looked soooooo good.

At first, I thought this is some 928 with a Weissach-Interior swapped-in. But then I saw the area where the cross brace has been mounted...
