Hmmmm....
Austin, eh?
My wife's parents just had their 50th Wedding Anniversary on saturday and I discovered some in-laws who actually enjoyed my company. Read that free room and board.
I can drop the kid s off at their aunt's house and cruise.
Keep in mind you guy's that school's out in the time(s) mentioned and due to summer vacation lodging get's a little tight Schlitterbahn , Alamo, Fredricksburgh, .... all get packed in pretty tight/centralizing is tough, better to go for your own rates than try block booking even for a day though we can get spread pretty thin and have to broaden meet times - more coffee and kibbutzing- and probably have to rough in approximate locations vs clock times as folks filter in.
Barbeque'n is cheap, some will consider time consuming. However, if you don't stop to chat/glomm out each others cars and swap serious B.S./lies/stories you might not get much out of the meeting. Photo-Op/ lineup and location a must. If anyone has an intake similar to Randy V's don't blame me if it dissappears...
Be a hoot though, to see 20-40 Texas sHARKs.
And remember Austin is fairly civilized nowadays so no shootin' cats in the parking lot - after 9pm that is-.
Anthony, you a full time fisherman now?
Somehow I knew you'd get a little 'involved' with other things while doing the engine/heads...
any corrosion issues other than head& bore cross leak?
When I flush mine -end of month- I'm going to try one of those anodic radiator resivior caps.

John, No galvanic corrosion problems. I have a little lifter clatter on the right side, that's new though. A little Marvel Mystery oil added to the Mobil 1 cleared it up. Just cleaning the inside of the throttle body and intake(s)(spider) really gave a noticable improvement. I changed all hoses/clamps ect along with the cap/rotor/wires/plugs and green Distributor wire. Two things I'm a little miffed at; I have to put off the paint job for a while and no cats after 9pm!
