"It only comes on at speeds greater than 150 MPH". That would be a VERY rare option on a '78, unless there was a significant tail wind on a long downhill.
Silhouette racing is just a shadow of what it could have been. Probably why we never saw that paint scheme on anything but plastic model cars.

I do like the paint scheme. I think it would fun taking it around to car shows, etc. It would definatly be a talking point. But the guy can't spell very good, it's not legalized, it has a 2000 RPM idle. Those things scare me. The interior shot looks respectable...

I liked the attenshun to detale.
Carried the side striping to the inside of the door frame.
I had forgotten how tall the early shifter wuz. Looks like them rally sequential shifter that's positioned right next to the steering wheel.
Not sure I can understand the Zakspeed connection. Especially when the inspiration came from a magazine article of another car.
Anyone need a track car candidate?

Sterling - trust me on this one...
When you have a car painted like this - its much better for your image if you don't have a license...

Gotta love it -- "150 mph light" on a car spec'ed to top out at 143 mph... More likely, he has a speedo that reads a bit fast, by coincidence some warning light came on when the speedo indicated ~150, and a warning bulb was out so he didn't know WTF the [ ! ] light was telling him.
Looks like the "professional restoration" stopped short of the engine bay, and it's telling that there are no interior pics.
And what was he smoking, doing it up in the livery of a freakin' CRAPI (oops) CAPRI???
