If the reason for adding cooling water is that the warning light for cooling water comes up, then be aware of the pressure sensor placed parallel with the cooling water level sensor - Mine was weak and came on when driving hard - For test just try to disconnect it (remove the connector from the sensor) - The sensor is placed just in front of the cooling water reservoir.

You should be able to check your warnig lights by turning your ignition switch to the on position, this will light up all warning lights that aren't burned out.

Leadfoot...... are we getting into the "physician, heal thy self" thing here??

The fact is that I'm turning 50 this summer, and even though I'm the picture of health and conditioning, I suffer like the rest of you mere mortals.

Ian, I graduated from CMCC in 1977. I practice in rural western Canada, and am also the Registrar of the College of Chiropractors of Alberta. <img border="0" alt="[bigbye]" title="" src="graemlins/xyxwave.gif" />

Congrats on the graduation and the new practice! <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/beerchug.gif" />

In my other life, I'm an erstwhile 928 wrench!! <img border="0" alt="[ouch]" title="" src="graemlins/c.gif" />

Ah....... that's easy!! <img border="0" alt="[blabla]" title="" src="graemlins/a_smil17.gif" />

I put my car up on ramps. That lifted the thing to a reasonable working height. PLUS, you gotta be able to get under the thing when you drop stuff! <img border="0" alt="[ouch]" title="" src="graemlins/c.gif" />

Still no joy on the intermittent " ! " but it's NOT the new timing belt. Just checked it and it's in the middle of the window.......still. Also, I've still got another quart or so to squeeze into the cooling system, although there are no signs of overheating. <img border="0" alt="[crying]" title="" src="graemlins/crying.gif" />

I'm amazed at how fast a guy can get to the belt, to check the tension, now that I've BTDT. It was less than one hour start to finish, and that was quite a leisurely pace. <img border="0" alt="[ouch]" title="" src="graemlins/c.gif" />

Have wrench........almost ready to travel!! <img border="0" alt="[burnout]" title="" src="graemlins/burnout.gif" /> <img border="0" alt="[burnout]" title="" src="graemlins/burnout.gif" /> <img border="0" alt="[burnout]" title="" src="graemlins/burnout.gif" />

Brian: Re: "all the grounds I could find" The question is did you find them all? I believe there are five major ones. Wally has listed them; there was long post of some 17 items in which he listed them. Do a search. Probly a lot will come up, but only way to be sure, and you need to get to the bottom of this.

A search for 'ground point location' came up with a couple that may help:

Thanks Randy and Steve. Of the ones that the "other" thread listed, I don't seem to have the one on the right mid-lower fender. The rest I have found and done.

I got an owners manual and looked up the "idiot lights" drawings to see what I'm missing. The bad news is that I only have 3 that light up with the key in the "on" position with the car not running. <img border="0" alt="[crying]" title="" src="graemlins/crying.gif" />

Oh goody!! Another "project"!! <img border="0" alt="[ouch]" title="" src="graemlins/c.gif" />
