Brake Pad Sensors
Hello,
My brakes started squealing a couple of weeks ago, then the pad sensor light came on a few days ago. I inpected tho old pads and they were worn approx. 25%. I went ahead and changed all the pads and put some anti-squeal
goo on the pads. Now the brakes don't squeal, but the brake pad sensor light won't go off.
Is there a reset procedure I'm not aware of?
Thanks,
JA 87s4/5spd

Not that I'm aware of.
As I understand the sensor operation, the pad wear sensors operate on maintaining continuity thru the circuit. Once the pads wear down, the sensor is chewed thru and opens the circuit.
I'd suggest looking at the sensors a little closer and see if they are still intact.

I think you need to buy new brake pad sensor(s). Its my understanding that they are activated when a small piece of metal burns away which opens a circut and lights the warning. Once activated they cannot be reset.
