Keep me posted on when & where you shark owners are going to get together. As I said earlier I will be without mine but would like to stop by and say hello.
I'll be at the track all day both Friday and Sat.

I just copiloted a 1991 S4 from Philly down to Jacksonville, does that count for the long distance drive?

Nope, we put in about 2500 miles on the trip from DFW to SITM.

Default RENN RENDEZVOUS. . . Suggestion

Well I'll need to rent a car, maybe hertz can get a 928 for me.
Just suggested in another forum, as well --
Want to make this easy?

How about 'high-noon' (12 noon) Friday AND Saturday (for those only attending one day), say, outside of the Porscheplatz tent entrance?
That's during the IMSA Lites - when you still can hear the person talking next to you..and the autograph session.

Just something to work with. . .

FYI: "Distance Award recognition = must have traveled to event in a Porsche, winner subject to verification"

Default LAST MINUTE TICKET INFO...

Contact LRP’s Ticket Sales at 800.RACE-LRP.

The Platz is almost sold-out and you will need to get admission/parking ticket package soon or chance not being able to park your Porsche in the Platz.

'Til Next Weekend...

I might be the only 928 parking over at the Formula BMW area.
Hey, it's free!

Unfortunately, they wouldn't let me park at Porscheplatz, But I was able to park the GTS behind the Skip Barber tent. Missed meeting everyone but still a great day.

I was actually parked down in the lower BMW area. Was able to ride the pit car into pit lane to see the first BMW race, right under the Viper pit lane area.

Didn't see everyone, but did get to say hello to some old friends. Even talked to Ernest for a bit.

Saw this beautiful Amazon Green GTS with Joisey plates trolling around the PorschePlatz before he left. I wasn't able to catch up. Didn't realize it was Cobalt. I was walking back from the fence as he pulled out. Dang.

Too many PCars. Too little grass. At least you didn't get caught up in the CT traffic jam around 9am. Took me 1 hour to get in from the main road, Anthony.

Even with a Season Pass, I got stuck parking in the overflow lot. It felt like a 5 mile hike to get to the hill at the Esses where I usually set up camp. I couldn't believe the crowds.

Quite a day at Lime Rock!

I left NJ at 7:45 made it there by 9:25 Taconic was clear. I pulled in before i had to leave. Nephew leaving for Europe today and had to be back for a going away party. Oh well. Everyone was either at the S's or the climbing hill so I left. Damn those things are loud. Interesting to hear the different shift points of the drivers and cars. All but the Audi which is so quiet in comparison.

Shame I didn't get to meet any of you. But talked to so many people, making it a great time. For some reason my digital pictures did not work out but I got a bunch on film. I will have to scan and post.
