Cinder blocks for the back of the engine hoist. Or some guys standing on it. The suckers heavy.

Two points worth mentioning, the shop manual points out that the two timing pins on the flywheel must be down and the transaxle must be moved to the rear by about a inch. Both of these points are true, assuming the car is a AT.
I removed my engine out the top and over the right fender by my self. A little scary when you sense the weight of the engine.
