Holy crap. I had no idea about any of this. I don't do a lot of eBay stuff, but I've sold things and occasionally bought them as well.
I didn't know they could block a negative feedback. I bet that's something they woudn't want to get out to the general populous. Oh well, it had a good run.
Maybe something else will come up and take it's place to be what eBay used to be.
eBay is pricing itself out of the market that started it in my opinion. Shoot I sold a jetski on ebay and after all the freakin fees it was over $100 bux. Crazy..! I believe they are marketing towards power sellers who push lots of items per day. I really hope another auction site starts with a different goal in mind. All though I love craigslist but ebay has already bought shares in craigslist from what I hear, they must be feeling the pressure?
Bought an amp of ebay from a power seller. It came in scratched from poor packaging and loose parts in the box. Seller said they would do nothing, so I left them negative feedback. They countered with negative to me. No explanation o fthe negative, just "please call" and their phone number... Why would I call, when I already did and got no response? Complained to ebay and they would ot help. I even asked how you cna leave negative feedback with out explaining why it's negative in the first place. ie.. slow ship, broken, never sent etc.. But just "call us" ? How does that help other ebays make a decision about purchasing from them or me?
Long story short about 2 weeks later I get a request started by the seller to do mutual feedback withdrawel.. What a joke. He gets rid of his one of many negative out of 10000 feedbacks, verse my one and only negative out of 150.. I got bullied into doing it. The feedback program is broken and now that ebay owns PAYPAL, they don't protect you either.
On the other hand, if you want nice "non-collector" posters, find pics on line and have Kinko's blow them up for you. It's less than even the shipping to buy one on ebay. They can even make a collage of your own shark..
Thats what the post master said at my local post office. That the "seller files the claim" nothing I can do. Why would she give me the wrong info? Makes no sense. Dealing with these types of headaches isn't worth the $35 bux I spent on it. Live in learn! Oh well.. Should have paid by credit card. Just wanted to warn other potential buyers.
Dan
Look, it's not even the cost of a good dinner. Just let it go! You've already spent more than $35 worth of energy just in writing all these posts.

Just make sure the picture you use doesn't belong to someone else... they usually do, you know. And quite frequently there's a copyright in the background which you would be infringing if you copied it without permission. Just a heads-up.

You've got this backward. You should be thankful you were offered a mutual withdrawal. He had nothing to lose by your negative feedback, maybe 1/10000th of a percentage point. You had almost an entire percentage point to lose with his negative. You're lucky he offered to do it.
Dan,
I bought the same poster and it arrived with no issues. Sorry to hear about your situation, but on a bright note, I'm not going to put the poster up and if you want to buy it from a reputable Rennlister, I'd be more than happy to sell it to you.
something is fishy .. i won the same poster from a different seller, and mine arrived with no issues, however, the pic in your auction is EXACTLY the same as the one I won. different seller though
I bought the same poster and the seller apparently had no clue how to ship it safely so it was slightly wrinkled in transport. If the guy who got ripped off sends me his address I'll let him have my slightly less than perfect example.

Thanks for the comments guys. It sucks being ripped off but at least it was $36 bux instead of $360. I will take you up on the offer. PM sent with address.
