So I take the boys out to the local frozen custard shop last night - we always try to take the old boy out for that occasion. Two minutes after we get out of the car, a 2003 Carrera pulls in right next to us.
The owner proves to be quite amicable and we exchange mutual compliments to one another. He informs me that his car is loaded with extra features, and do I have minute for him to show me his favorite. Sure.
He gets in his car and starts it up. "Hear the engine now?" he asks. I do, and I'm quietly thinking how much it sounds like a Ski-Doo.
"Now listen again." He pushes a button on the dash, which must actuate some rear muffler bypass. The sound deepens somewhat. And I do mean somewhat.
I nod in approval and express my compliments.
"Okay boys, let's get in the car. Time to go," I say.
Brothers, I gotta tell you... The look on that guy's face when I started up the old boy and gave it a good rev. It was the face of an epiphany - about what BWAAH really is.

Good stuff.
Hey, on a related note, I've seen exhaust bypass systems from Jeggs. Some are mechanical with a cable and some are electrical. You can bypass your muffler from inside the car and redirect the exhaust straight out (in case you track your car and have to drive it home). They look pretty cool. Anybody ever used these?
