Question Delivery leadtime for 928 parts to reach Australia???

Around 20th April this year I placed an order for about US$1,000 worth of 928 parts from 928specialists. Seven days later they charged my credit card and "shipped " the goods "by air" as requested.

40 days and half a dozen emails and a couple of phone calls later I still do not have the shipment nor an official explanation as to where the parts are.
I am starting to lose sleep. Can anyone shed some light for me? Is this kind of time frame ( from order and payment to receipt of goods ) common?
I am not accusing anyone at 928specialist; they are probably some of the most reliable and honest people in the business but I am starting to worry something has happened to my shipment. I've checked at my local post office without success.
I am just curious to know if anyone out there had experienced similar problems. Like lost goods? Goods shipped via sea by mistale?!

I don't know about shipping to Oz, but i'm expecting several things from various suppliers in the US, all shipped by 4-10 day air to me in the UK, and i'm still waiting for things I ordered about 8 weeks ago.

did you get a "tracking number"? then you can track the shipment::.

40 days is way too long, if shipped on the date you say, something is wrong, I have bought a huge amount of parts and by and large never a problem, one thing that might have happened is the parts have gone seamail. If so average shipping time is 10 weeks. If you have insurance, which I highly recommend you can normally claim this after the seamail time frame has run out, which is upto 3 months.

Unless you paid for the most expensive mail, you wont have a tracking no. Did you send it USPS or another carrier. Has customs got you things? I agree with you that 928 Specialist are reliable, it will be important so that you can get some sleep that you get a confirmed shipment date. That way you will know if something is really wrong.

Seamail is slow, I have had stuff take 10+ weeks to get here from the states, and nothing faster than 6 weeks.
