GTS Question
Where there many GTS's or 928s made with color matching wheels like the picture below? The only other one I have seen was black. Was this an option or special order?
It is a 95 arena red 5 speed with grey interior with rootwood. Nice for sure!

Jerry,
Seems this was a special order or aftermarket. I've seen photo's of a speed yellow 93/94 GTS that supposedly had factory yellow wheels to match, it seems quite rare. However anything in a '95 GTS is quite rare - I suppose! It looks like this is just the spokes colored - the yellow car had full yellow spokes & rims (Cup 2 wheels) so maybe this was an aftermarket job?
However Porsche would custom do anything you wanted in any color (to sample) for a price ($$$$) so who knows?
Personally I'd have preferred standard wheels on this car... my opinion!
Interesting there is another S4/GT in the same color next to it - I'm sure this wasn't the most popular color ever!

Porsche Exclusive option code (in '93) was XD9. Price in Germany (in '93) was DM 1,520.00 - that's about US$ 750.00.
Unusual on this car is that the door inserts, steering wheel, shifter **** and brake handle are rootwood, but the console is not. But then again, you can select each item separately.
I would not be surprised, if this was one of the last factory executive cars...

Does anyone know if the rootwood options are available anywhere, or were they limited to just the ones installed by the factory during manufacturing.
I have a rootwood automatic shifter handle, but that is the only rootwood component. The door inserts sure would look good.

I’ve seen photos of this car before but can’t remember where. I like it! Especially those matching wheels.
I think it would be kind of unique to own a “Porsche Factory Executive” <img border="0" alt="[king]" title="" src="graemlins/r.gif" /> car.
