Brake caliper paint color - suggestions?
Hi all;
I'd like to throw this out to the group. 85s auto, garnet, interior redone - saddle tan w/ cork carpets. Need assistance/comments as to brake caliper paint colors. I was thinking yellow for contrast, but the yellows I've seen are a little too bright for my taste. By the way, I have ROH C2-looking wheels. Suggestions will be appreciated.

i went with the classic red..but if i decide for a color change down the road, when i get bored with red, i will go for a monochromatic look and do them in silver.

[why is every '85 an automatic?]
I hate automatic transmissions, in case you can't tell. Oh well. My mom loves hers. I rest my case...
I painted my calipers silver, using cheap engine paint. It lasts the life of the car and costs $3-

Hey Normy,
I have an '85 AT and I couldn't be happier.
I actually bought the AT because I wanted my wife to be able to enjoy the Porsche. I know that some of you might cringe at the thought of passing on your baby to someone else to drive but I tell you there is nothing hotter than a woman behind the wheel of a 928.
I also own a '86 Pontiac Fiero GT 5-speed and that's my work beater. I live in California and as you can probably guess, the freeway is a parking lot most of the time. Most days I wish I had taken the Porsche instead. I can just sit and listen to my 32v engine burble.
To each his own I guess. Maybe the other listers can drop in an opinion as well. I think the AT is about as quick as the standard in 1/4 mile times. Maybe someone could back that up with some hard data.

Normy,
Love my automatic!! Great for cruizing down the interstate, especially when the traffic is backed up. Besides when I want to do some hard and fast shifting I'll drive my '93 Cobra, it has a 5sp.
I was thinking red for my calipers once I upgrade to GTS.
35 days and counting.
