Anyone up for a 928 trade? - Edit: Now for sale GTSish for $4k
Edit: Now for sale. see post #3
This is a long shot, but anyone want to trade a 5-spd S4,GT or GTS for a project car and cash?
My situation has changed and I'm finding I have zero time to work on it. I'm not even in the same state 50 weeks out of the year.
The car is an '82 5-spd with S4 brakes and front suspension, full GTS body kit front and rear (including rear fender flares), 12 way seats, 18" wheels.
Car runs, but definately has lots of things to fix (when I got it it'd been siting for several years).

OK, so it looks like the trade thing isn't going to work.
But I need to make room for another V8 x28 GTS (unfortunately not a P-car) so I'm willing to make a deal for the right buyer.
Sorry, no pics right now - I won't be back in town until the end of the week.
And I'll only be in town for a week, so it'd have to be someone who wanted it right now and could get it right now. Otherwise it'll have to wait until I'm back this winter.
It's a long shot, I know, But I figured I'd try.
The car:
1982 5sp, Black on black w/ sunroof
LSD
Full GTS body kit (GTS fiberglass rear flares, bumper covers, wing, front fenders, hood, reflect strip)
S4 brakes and front suspension
Euro cams
18" Azev 10 spoke wheels (10" rear, 8.5" front) w/ new rubber in front (they need paint)
H4 headlights
GTS aero mirrors
MSDS headers
ANSA exhaust
Momo steering wheel
12-way power black leather seats from a later car
No cracks on Pod (restored by Rixter)
Leather Dash, no cracks but pulling away from vents (edited, typo)
Short shifter w/ Momo handle
Mileage is approx 85,000
Clean Carfax
Also includes:
New carpet set
Freshly powder-coated cam towers waiting to go on (black - they look great)
Porken lift bars
Full shop manuals (binders and CD)
Fitted cover
Assorted parts (relay panel, window motor, etc)
It's a project car, as it's been sitting, but it ran when I last was back in Florida (a year ago).
$4k would close the deal.

I'd do the cash deal, but it's the rush-rush-rush I've got a problem with. I"m going on vac tomorrow, and won't be back until 8/5. Too bad, also NEED PICS!

It's in Gainesville.
I can post pics Friday night.
Sorry, I'm not looking to "rush-rush-rush" anyone into anything, I just happened to be able to get away back to Florida at the last minute and thought I'd try to do this now instead of waiting until this winter.
The car probably needs the TT bearings replaced and it's sat so long I'm sure it at least needs A/C o-rings/recharge, if not a rebuilt compressor. It definitely should have the T-belt replaced based on age.
It would make a fine track car (but for the sunroof and the heavy 12-way seats would have to go). Since the front fenders, hood, and bumpercover are all fiberglass I'd always planned on glassing them together and making a forward-tilting nose for easy engine access. It'd be even easier to just make it a one-piece lift-off racing nose. The seats and center-console are already out of the car (but go with it) so you have a head start on stripping the interior.
The paint is OK, a few scratches. I'll post pictures on Friday, but until then picture a black GTS with tinted windows and 18" 10 spoke wheels.

OK, I went looking through my attachments to previous posts (under manage attachments) and I found a few pics (below).
It also jogged my memory of a few more features:
-GTS aero mirrors
-MSDS headers
-ANSA exhaust
-Momo steering wheel (actually I think it's from a another Italian company which considers itself more exclusive than Momo, but can't remember the name)
-A nicely labeled relay panel
The last shot doesn't do the car any justice as it's very dirty (of course I'm sure it's very dirty now after sitting for a year, although it is and has always been inside a garage), also the front air dam (spoiler?) is off in the pic but it's included and it's fully intact (it's the late one with the brake ducts) as well as the under tray.
But it does show the wheels (there are covers for center w/ Porsche crests).

As I was drifting off to sleep last night I remembered a few more things:
-I also have a set of freshly powder-coated cam towers which are waiting to go on (black - they look great)
-mileage is approx 85,000
-Carfax is clean
