Red face Rough start!

I have an 88 928s4 with only 67k miles, I was woundering if anyone have any suggestions to my probelm.

The problem is I have a rough time to start this car no matter if the engine is cold or hot. When I start the car, the engine feels like does not get enough fuel or air or something is glugged. After I press the gas pedal & raise the RPM to 3000-4000 few times, then it's fine and running great. It feels like by raising the RPM, it cleans out something I do not know if this make sense.

I would appreciate any comments. Thanks. Steve

Welcome Steve.

Use the 'search' link in the upper right and enter 'hard starting' (no quotes). You will get several previous discussions about this common problem.

Typically, it is caused by pressure leaks in the fuel system and/or the injectors.

Let us know what you find to be the problem on your car.
