Default Need Help With Rear Console Removal

Any pictorials anywhere or step by steps, on the removing the console between the two back seats, I am having a little trouble finding all the screws etc, and she has to be shipped out to be redone.

Thanks for the help.

Just did this, it's fairly easy. Remove the 2 screws at the back of the grate for the air intake. The rear half of the black grill slides back and off. Don't attempt to pull off the front vents - you'll break off the tabs that hold it (I learned the hard way). THere are 2 screws in the middle of the top panel, they're obvious, remove them. This releases the whole top panel to pivot at the front, which is held on by two rather large clips. I didn't actually figure out how to get that off without removing the whole thing, but you don't need to get it off to get the whole console out. WIth the top piece tilted up, you have access to 4 screws, 2 on each side, that hold the whole thing on. Once those are off, it's a matter of manipulating it off. There may be some glue holding it in some parts, specifically the back - I haven't completely pulled it out of the back, as I just need access to the inner seatbelt bolts, but it moves around freely, so I think it's just a matter of working it out. So it's really not hard, although it doesn't pull straight off, the middle brackets are such that you have to expand the console a bit to get it around as well.

I got through just what you said, hey I broke a clip off, luckily it just came out of its glue setting, so when Robert Budd is here doing my interior he can fix that up.. but damn, getting too those screw on the side is a pain.

you should only have to remove the screws that are easy once the grills are off then spread the console a little bit and lift it off dont try to get to the screws that are difficult leave the mounting tabs alone, the console will hit the screws so that is why you need to spread the top portion it just lifts right off after removing 4 screws
