If you mean the collection that was organised for Mark Kibort; good question.
I believe the monies that were collected were delivered to the supplier; after that unknown.

Tim & Mark are woking on the details of what the final motor will be. Some of Mark's current engine will end up on the new motor (heads, intake etc....), at least that is what I think the current game plan is.
I collected the funds via my PayPal account - they were delivered to Tim once the drive was over.

There is no reason for Mark to buy another set of heads, intake, TB, alternator etc.... when the ones on his current motor are just fine.
Unless you would like to donate some more $$$ or parts. I'm sure Mark would welcome that.

What is a running S-4 engine worth ? what is a partial non running block worth ? Like I said why destroy value unless it is necessary. Taking apart a good engine just seems like a waste. maybe someone with a core motor thrust bearing failure , woldlike to exchange there bad motor for a good motor since all you need are good usable core parts.

Brutus...........the car in question is Mark Kiborts which was used by Porsche to set speed records at the Salt Flats and as such is a very unique car amongst the marque.
It's currently raced by MK to a great degree of sucess but as its run on a shoestring budget 'we' donated money for a IIRC 6.0l short block.
The engine shall share parts from the existing engine and a point in time when its appropriate with the engine supplier. We, the donators, are comfortable in knowing that the new engine shall give the car another chapter in life, showing many other race teams her back end to their $100ks budgets.

That was funny!
Im getting excited to start the plan to get the new bottom end friendly with the Holbert top end! (also kind of interested in seeing whats going on down there too!)
It's in Tim's hands for now. We decided to bore out another S4 block and use JE pistons so we can then use a Nicasil coating. all we are waiting for now is the choice of rods. we get to use the modex crank.
we decided if we were going to do an engine change, it wouldnt be worth it to just gain 1 liter by stroke alone. the extra 400ccs with the increased bore is the way to go.
Ill see if i can get an update from Tim.
