Question WOT way not be working

I have a new wot in the car.
I checked my tonite, (by sound) and no (click).
I talked to Dave C. and he said that the WOT would
make a (click) . I know that he is right.

He's wrong... here's a click for idle, but no click for WOT.

The "WOT" switch serves both WOT and Idle functions. But, only the idle will make a 'click' sound.

Greg: Although the WOT portion of the throttle switch does not make a click, it is wise to verify that it is working. I have seen a bunch of cars recently in which it was not working due to slack in the throttle cable.

With the ignition on (car not running) and the plug to the EZF brain pulled measure the resistance at pin 17 on the plug versus ground. Have someone work the throttle. At idle the resistance should be infinite. With the pedal floored, it should have continuity with ground. Repeat the test on pin 16 of the LH brain plug.

If the switch does not go to ground, try tightening the first half of the throttle cable. There is an adjuster where the cable passes through the firewall. After snugging this up, if the WOT switch then works, make sure you can still hear the "click" of the idle portion of the switch when you barely pull the throttle off the idle stop.

Lave the ignition switch off. This test will work regardless.
