Will an RMB on stock exhaust do much?

As one who has spent plenty on modifications, let me say the RMB is the best bang for the buck out there.........
Bar none, And there are a LOT of good ones.

I have no idea, if my RMB is a 928 International or 928 Specialists type - I bought it on ebay to see, if I would like it.
What I can tell you is that since we installed it, countless people have told me how great my car sounds!
There are some differences in the exhaust configuration between 87 and 91 that might yield a slightly different result in your case. But if 928 International has them in stock, nothing should hold you back from calling them NOW!
My recommendation is to go with the stainless version, if it's available.

Even if you have an early car for which there is no RMB available, make your own. A twin pipe extension from Summit Racing Equipment, a decent muffler shop and about $150 and you're done. Use the flange from the stock muffler and have the shop bend up a short pipe to join the purchased twin pipe to the old flange. Took maybe 20 nimutes, start to finish. Work is done right on the car so the alignment is good.
Sounds fantastic, just like everyone has said. Best mod I've done.

I have the 928 International stainless steel RMB and it is money well spent. I was afraid it would be too loud or annoying before I got it, but it isn't at all. It just sounds "right". It sounds like a high-end V8 should now.

The name sounds cool.

Now the S4 at WOT can scare my Shark silly. ;-) Amazing how something like that can transform the car.
hm. My 928 Euro w/32V exhaust makes my A6 4.2L w/resonator bypass pee itself.

More to the point, I don't have the budget right now for a full exhaust upgrade! Any thoughts on this?
I think RMB is what Greg Brown just did on my car.
It made a huge difference with the sound. It sounds like it should now.
It was very quiet stock.
I have to look up the Invoice to see exactly what he did and get back to you.
Or if Iceman chimes in, he saw the invoice and might be able to pull it up on his email faster than I can find the file
