That's Odd?
Hey all,
Well, first of all Happy 4th. Keep it safe out there. My work here is not yet finished grasshoppa.
OK, so after I went in and tightened my valve covers, plugged in disconnected vacuum line, etc, I have noticed that my idle has now become rough and it has gone up by about 150RPM. Now, I still need to fix the sealing ring on the MAF but here is my question?
Since whoever installed the MAF neglected to put the sealing ring on, do you think they maybe did something with the idle and /or fuel mixture to compensate for the MAF blunder?
What I'm thinkin' is that as I fix leaky vacuum and false air, the car is actually starting to idle rougher then it did before I fixed anything. It is also louder then before and idle is up to about 750RPM in park. The car does not stall out anymore.
I plan on fixing the MAF sealing ring tomorrow. Hangin' with the little sharks today.
I wonder if I'm actually speaking to anyone today????
Cheers
Bernie
