Nice car...and great license plate! I'm surprised you got it through the system.

Not sure, I didn't ask anyone about the car when I was there.

Randy, in all seriousness, you MUST miss that car. Especially after word got out that some cowboy wrecked it. Same thing happened to Carl's cabrio, he sold it and within weeks, the buyer owned a piled of scrap! I guess the cars are too light for these guys.
I've got my 928 convertible semi stripped at this point. I dream of the day I can re-build it. What a fun project it is going to be! It's will be as light in weight as I can make it. Got BIG plans for that baby! Just a dream at this point...

Either way I would like to have an OB 928 convertible since I don't feel like learning another car

Couple more closeups...
I don't think I posted these fotos of the car in the first post.
BTW, the rear fenders on the 928 with the duct-taped quarter window are not stock are they?

I've never seen one, or even knew they came as convertibles, until now.
To each their own - I think they ROCK! I'd adopt all of those "fuggly", red-headed step-children if I could.

There was a convertible at the 2002 SITM that I attended, but since the day was cold, the owner never dropped the top.
Randy's car is perfect: white with a tan interior. If I had to propose a perfect 928 convertible, I'd say silver car with a red "can-can" interior, and a red top.
928 convertible: One of these days!
[Right after the 1959 43 foot Chris Craft bullnose Catalina~]
