I have a 93 Corvette ZR-1 405HP Stock. Insane quick and fast car, comfortable with the real time dampning suspension settings, rare due to 448 built, and the LT5 was a work of art engine (Lotus)
BUT......nowhere near the fit and finish, and this one has 14K on the odo, nowhere near the styling of the 928 IMHO.

A friend threw you the keys to a M plate he borrowed from
Milford if it's a MY08.

I would love to drive a new vette....especially a Z06..but would settle for a standard 400hp LS2 with the 6 speed paddle shifted auto....thats gotta be fun......But I priced one with the options I want....$56K.....thats steep!! I could have 3-4 really nice 928's for that!

Hold out for a 6.2 440 hp car.

C6 Z06s are really cool cars. Third gear is pretty silly. It goes from 90-120 fast. That said, 500 hp in that chassis isn't ridiculous.

Yipper-skipper...he's the Vette/performance group project manager! He threw me the keys last fall to the Cadillac XLR-V!

Yeah, I can't see myself shelling out for $70K for one of these puppies (Z-O6), but it is great fun to see what you can get for that kind of money in a modern car.

No sir...for my $70K, I'd be looking at something far more exotic. Ooh, wouldn't a DeTomaso Pantera GT5 be sweet!?!

Anyway, pure fantasy...

How did you drive your friends 2008 Corvette? They haven't been relased yet.

IMO -- Vette is the exact opposite of 928 --careful, it's a slippery slope.

Try driving the Vette in 10 years and see which one has aged.

By the way, anyone ever seen a cut-a-way drawing of a C-6 Corvette chassis? Other than the transverse leaf springs, it looks pretty much like a direct copy of a '77 928.
