Default Water Leak from dash

While driving home from the Suncoast cookout this past weekend. I drove into two heavy squals, at the time I thought it was no big deal until water started to drop underneath the steering wheel to my feet. so after removing the black pastic cover that protect the fan and wiper linkages in the engine compartment, I thought one of the componets didnt look quite right, to the left of the wiper motor is some sort of thermastat that connects to the fan unit pictured in hpm1123. All that surrounds it is foam which I would not think would be enough to keep it water tight. Can anyone tell me if indeed this thermastat should be covered. Thanks

I think that's your expansion valve with some foam insulation to reduce sweating. I also think you have to look around some more for the leak. It can be pretty frustrating. Look for stains or streaks.
Good luck,

There is a drain tube in the bottom of the heater core-A/C evaporator box that can get plugged. Mine was plugged for a while, and would dump water on my foot every left turn. The tube exits above the torque tube, so if you can find it from below the car, you may be able to blow/vacuum it clear. Might not be your situation, but it fixed my problem.

If it's dropping on your LEFT foot, I may have the answer...
The wet left ankle.

The hole I sealed over looked factory. I've looked at a few other 928s and not found the same hole in the wiper area. I discovered it on the night I drove the car home after buying it.
