NOTE I cant edit my first post with an updated suggestion.
New suggestion , cut out this connector and solder each of the wires together then heat shrink them.
this will remove the possibility of a poor connection.
NOTE this is a part that will seldom if ever be removed from the car,
thus having it with a connector in an area that sees moisture is not required .
