Yes, the run through Hell is Aug 11th, but the cruise through Hell "Helluva Cruise" is August 4th.
Last year Sharks in Hell was the last weekend of July and we missed the Cruise by one week. This year we bumped it to August 4th to coincide with the cruise. If you are coming, the cruise rolls through Hell around 6pm, so get to the cottage well before they close the road down for the cruisers.
More info on Helluva Cruise: http://www.helluvacruise.com/page/page/1823129.htm
Helluva Cruise video: http://www.helluvacruise.com/cruise_DVD_preview.html
All the shots of the cars in action were taken in Hell ... the parked cars at Pinckney High School about 4 miles away if you want to go on a field trip.
Brian (Camboinc) are you bringing the 928 or the 66 Chevelle Malibu???
Decisions, decisions.

Mark-
that is a tough one. right now, its the shark for all events as the other two are down. motor is out of the 930 (new exhaust, k27hfs turbo, trick muffler and gaskets all the way around) and the malibu is getting a heart transplant as well. fresh 450hp crate motor sitting on the garage floor waiting for installation!. about 10 hours on the shock swap last weekend for the shark. now its the malibu's turn. cant wait for hell, mark. i'll be coming early as i have to leave around 4:45pm. I have two close friends that are getting married the same day. doesnt that just figure!!

I'm checking to see if Dave McKenzie, Borys, and Chris Fabri are interested in going. I'd still like to join the event as well. It would be cool to hook up with some of the WI guys. If anyone's interested, I can hook you up with a great Bed & Breakfast in Mundelein. Perhaps we could caravan to MI from there.
Kudos to Mark for hosting and to AO for all the design work.
BTW - took the OB down to Cincinnati this weekend. Though I wished the cruise control worked, it was great opening up the throttle on I-74. No coppers, so we had her up to 120 for a short stretch.

I'm going. Hacker and I were in touch about perhaps meeting up with them on their way down - Z is also going. We'll see how that all pans out, but if you or Dave go any of us should easily be able to caravan. Join the crowd!

I think we are leaving Friday morning. Should be a three hour drive from the Chicago area?
I'm going to assume the family band / GMRS radio channel will be 928 again this year. I'll have two radios along, so will Tim. Anyone along the way without a radio can use some of ours. Makes it a lot easier to communicate through traffic with these vs. cell phones.

Google maps says 4.5 hours from where I'm at, so it depends on traffic and what kind of time we can make. My plans for visiting family fell through, so I'm heading right to Hell. I can meet up when and wherever. As long as we don't get caught up in anything crazy around Chi-town, I think we can easily get it under 4.
