Shane,

You were my inspiration to get to the dyno this morning

My highest numbers 432.58 RWHP 391.33 RWTQ (red) were achieved this morning .

I had the tech post my previous 399/382 (blue) before installing the 044 BOSCH fuel pump and Ott X-pipe.

Notice the 389/400 (green) run. That was at 5300 RPM but the tech is conservative and thought it was leaning out too much?? He did state it felt smoother with the leaner mixture.

Can't wait to SharkTune and get rid of the BEGI FPR

[QUOTE=Shane]OK I'll play.

I have yet to see these numbers beat by any other '85-'86.5 boosted sharks:

402rwhp 383 rwtq
1986 928S auto, x-pipe, Andy Keel setup with Whipple 2.3 twinscrew intercooled @ 7psi of boost. Airfuel set at 12:1

And for the stock or non-boosted numbers, Porken has me beat here, along with some others.
281 rwhp 278 rwtq
1986.5 928S 5sp, aftermarket chips, all stock otherwise, with cats smog pump, and all the other power robbing goodies.

He's at appx 9-10psi. We have the same size pulleys i think. The dispalcement on his Twinsscrew is less than Shanes and less than mine. I think Darien has the 2.0L, I have the 2.2...and Shane is at 2.3 using a WHIPPLE
Not quite apple to apples...but 400PLUS rwhp is 400 PLUS rwhp...and the TQ is in the right spot!
I recently got a Super MAF and Darien and I are looking forward to a some sharktuning this summer.

Default 88 S4

Best dyno: Nov. '06, I broke 301 RWHP SAE, 321 RWTQ but like someone said this doesn't always translate to the track. Haven't tracked it, but best (very very long) run was below. The first is what the dash looks parked, the second was with a phone camera and not-so-clean-shorts. Ed M

Default Weekend Dyno Runs

Bone stock 88 S4 w/ AT. About 11K miles on rebuilt engine. Baseline figures:

261.2 rwhp @ 6k rpm
269.5 ft/lbs @ 3448 rpm

Done at SSI in Towson, MD on a chassis dyno. Pretty cool set up where they jack up the car, remove the wheels, and attach spindles to the hubs that connect straight into the dyno modules. I set the 6k RPM limit as a cutoff, but the car wanted to keep going, so I probably could have hit 265+ hp. Torque curve appears nice and flat.

Will be installing devek level II headers, y pipe, 3.5" catless exhaust and borla muffler this week. Will go back for more dyno runs to confirm power gains, if any. I assume I will pick up some HP with those mods.

I can't find my stage 2 sheet, but it was converted to brake HP not rwhp/tq by the dyno operater at 551 BHP. I do have a nice new, non dynojet one though for rwhp and rwtq.

To convert to dynojet levels, multiply the numbers by 1.10 for the conversion factor. It is one hell of a ride!

Thanks Murf and crew!

Here is a better looking scan. I love the 300 ft/lb tq below 2500 rpm.

Default Old dyno sheet

This is before smoothing out the fuel curve. Need to get back and do some more runs. Later, Woody

I knew this topic was out there, but just couldn't find it again. But since Andrew posted the link, I am
able to contribute a couple of my dyno runs.

1 Murf Stage 2 with 6 and 8psi boost (1/26/05):

(437.8 hp/382.3 LbFt)

2 New Motorsport SLC motor (with lots of Murf parts) at 10 psi boost (9/8/07):

(504.26 hp/441.18 LbFt)

Both these charts have different torque and power scales. Hope to get some
more tuning done this winter.
