Default Track Tires

Tried looking through old posts, so as not to rehash...no luck. My question is anybody's experience using these three DE tires...Kuhmo Victoracers, Nitto D-01, and Toyo RA-1's. Preferences? Complaints? All in the same price range, but I'm looking to get more than 2 weekends, which is all the Kuhmos last at a very hard-braking track in SC (CMP).

Any thoughts appreciated...

Roland

take my word for it. im still running 1:39xx at laguna on a set ive used for commuter tires to and from the track and ALL street driving from last season and already, they are stil being used for this season. call it 4-5 events, practice and qualifying. PLUS, 200 to 400 mile round trip traveling, PLUS 1000miles of around town driving over the winter.

RA1s !!!!!!

I have Nitto NT-01's on the car right now. I've only done one track with them so it's difficult to know how they'll wear. They're supposedly a similar compound to the Toyo RA-1 but w/ only a 6/32" tread depth, instead of 8/32" like RA-1's. This means you don't have to shave them for them to perform well. All hardcore guys shave RA-1's to 4/32 or use full depth for rain. (unless you're Kibort, then you find them already shaved and worn down)

I can't compare the NT-01 to Kumho V700's but I do like them more than Pirelli Corsas or Michelin Sport Cups.
