Help needed on fuel line pressure rating
Hi,
Stock '90 S4
I am looking at replacing the fule lines in the engine bay by using the existing fittings and new pipes. The only fuel pipe I can source locally is marked thus:
MARINE FUEL SAE J1527 USCG TYPE BS ISO8469-B2 CE 315-0580 3/8".
Does anyone know the working pressure of this type of pipe?
Would it be suitable as a replacement for the old fuel line?
Thanks,
Myles Garmonsway

Myles,
This seems to be marine quality "fuel fill" hose and not suitable for EFI applications.
You need SAE 30R9 EFI hose.
Readily available in the US - should be available in NZ as it is used on most cars for EFI applications.
EFI = Electronic fuel injection.
I can supply it if you get stuck.
