Yeah, I saw that.

It's the "unlisted" price and the "contact Tony or Vinnie" that has me worried!

What exactly is up with Willhoit? Do they actually re-sell these cars at the prices they are asking on their site?

Are they reputable?

I stopped posting deals simply so I wouldn't become part of the Willhoit, Todd, and Shaynes posse.

You see, we find the deals, they cruise Rennlist, buy the cars and profit on our backs. No thanks.

Don't worry, Todd will be back in three weeks to ride our coat tails.

Willhoit has a reputation for selling very nice high-end 928s for top dollar.

I have never dealt with them so I cannot personally speak of Willhoit's customer service, but I have read at least one positive review from a Rennlister who bought a gorgeous grey GTS from him.

I purchased my GTS from Willhoit. Great clean car had 53k miles on it and looks like it has 15k with every record from day 1. Great to deal with and I paid less than I have seen comparable cars sell for privately. Nothing wrong with these cars or the sellers. Many are offended by them I can't understand why. If I had to do it again I would not hesitate.

More like $54K.
I like your thinking I hope he gets it but that is very high for the mileage and being an auto. i would think $34-38k is a more reasonable price.

It would be nice if these prices held some water but the pricing guides do little when valuing cars like the GTS.

In interest of staving off the trolls (Dealers and the like...you know who you are) perhaps when someone finds a deal like the above mentioned we simply post “for more information PM me”. That way, people like Shane or Shmurzik or other enthusiasts looking will have a chance to grab these deals at a decent price before the trolls that shill them to the dealers for a commission or the dealers themselves get them and raise the price by thousands of dollars.

Just a thought.

Tim, I could not agree more. I would have paid the 23000 initially asked but once the cat's outta the bag, its' the big boys' game then.

Bottom line, if you don't like paying higher prices or dealing with salesmen like Todd or Wilhoit.....dont.

There are few nice examples out there coming up every few months...keep 'em quiet, pass it along to your trusted friends and go from there. I have delt with buying form a 928 dealer twice and private owners six times...my opinion, its been better for me to buy from the PO.

Default TAKE THIS TOPIC ELSEWHERE . . .

Hey gang -- I think this is a VERY valid point, that IMHO, warrants it's own thread . . .

(but, I'm just a doc) . . .

OK... now for the emoticon of the night:

Tim -

That, or something like it, is not a bad idea. But...

1. When I posted this thread, there were rather quickly somewhere around 70 views. I'm not sure I want to respond to +- 70 PM's.

2. If I were to solicit PM's, answered 10 or 15, and then left my computer for a couple of hours to eat dinner and watch TV... I'd feel like I screwed the guys who PM'd me while I was away! Too much pressure!!!

3. If I get a PM from someone I know and recognize, fine. If I get a PM from someone I don't recognize, how do I know he's not a dealer or a dealer puppet?

Default THE CAR...THE CAR. . .

Not to change the subject, but rather to return to the thread title...

Does anyone know who scored this sweet appearingTexas find?

I already checked with ROG100 when I got RSKY BIZ back today and it's not his...
Anyone know???
Just a 'fee free' question . . . (gotta luv it!)
