Too late to call the east coast? Don't know...
The outer joint doesn't come apart. the boot for the outer joint goes on from the inner end of the halfshaft. Circlip on the inner end allows the inner spider to come off the shaft. Inner boot comes off. Outer boot slides all the way across to the inner end, then off the shaft. Clean and repack the outer joint, then slide the new outer boot on from the inner end, clamp it. Now the inner boot, followed by the inner spider (direction is important...), the circlip, then engage the boot around the inner drive flange part of the joint and clamp it. Put the inner dust shield on the end over the circlip, pass the bolts through, clean everything again, and install the assemnbly back in the car.
