Default Unknown piece from oil pan area - help!

As I returned to the MM/oil gasket project this morning, I discovered a piece on the floor of the garage. I have no idea where this piece came from. I'm hoping I do not have to remove the oil pan in order to return it to its location .

Can anyone identify this little boltish piece?

Thanks.

4 of those hold the lower metal reinforcement for the steering rack in place.

You can just drop it in from above, and bolt it from beneath as normal.

Your 4 may already be there. This may be a lost unit from days past.

Cheers,
Michael

Phew, cheers indeed. If I had to take that oil pan back off...

Thanks so much.

Perhaps this is what Michael was referring to, but it appears that this has dropped from the cross member and is one of three or four identical pieces. There was so much gunk along that part of the cross member that these were not visible. When the least "gunked" fell out, I was left scratching my head because I couldn't find any mates. With some cleaning, I've discovered the others.

Again, thanks.

Michael is right - hang on to it as they are about $6 each.
