Do you people ever sleep?
Dots on my '93 and '94 911. That's the one with the volkswagen engine.
The dots are alcohol magnets; they enable drunks to find their way out of cars they have no business driving.

My 88 has them. But I have no idea everything the PO has subjected the car to.
Now if someone can source those German? billet/solid AL door handles (someone was installing a set at SITM about 2 years ago) and get an LED embedded in them, that'll be very very cool.
Come to think of it, maybe just place an LED in each of the door pull cavities and backlight the door pull.
Not everyone has the 'touch' like you, RSKY BIZ.

and they could very well be radioactive ..so watch out
Ive got them on my 87
Today, most glowing watches use a radioactive isotope of hydrogen called tritium (which has a half-life of 12 years) or promethium, a man-made radioactive element with a half-life of around three years.

Interesting that there is such a mix of "got 'em", "don't got 'em", even between the same model years.
Perhaps us guys that "got 'em" should start talking them up like they are some type of rare, desirable option, and increase the value of our cars.
Heh, heh...

My Godzilla 87 came with dots glued onto the surface and I pulled and tossed them as I thought they were aftermarket chintzy crap. There are no holes indented for them. I've never seen them on any earlier cars.
My 89 and 88 have the dots sunk into holes made for them.

On the '88's (like mine) and later years, they are actually plastic buttons that are imbedded in the handle.
Personally I'm not a fan of them.

Kind of cheap looking and reminds me of the glow in the dark stickers my daughter brings home from daycare.

My '86 doesn't have them. My '81 has a cast-in dot on the passenger side handle, which must have been added later. I think it's good for passengers.
