A/C center console register question?

A/C center console register question?

Ok I've been doing some work on my new stereo and after putting it all back together - the A/C is working (good thing), but I noticed that when I select A/C the center console register dosn't open anynore (bad thing). Now I suspect I knocked something loose or forgot to reconnect it - but dont' know what it could be.

Anyway I'm not real happy about this - but it looks like I'll have to re-open the center console again to figure out what's wrong.

Any ideas?

OB's have an HVAC system that is entirely vacuum operated -- no bank of solenoids like later cars for activating flaps. You probably either pinched or knocked loose one of the vacuum lines.

I had the same problem, center vent didn't open. I took off the grill ( it just snaped out ) and opened the flap door, stuck in a piece of black rubber hose to hold it open against the spring tension and now I have a/c. Good thing too, it's in the 90's in Arizona now.
